Swatch: NYX Round Lipsticks + NYX Cream Blushes

Hello. Its been a month exactly since I last posted. I've been busy and I've also been waiting to get a couple more followers =D

I love NYX Cosmetics, their products are really cheap and are quite good for the price! So to me it was only obvious that my first cosmetics post would be some NYX swatches!
I will swatch and talk about (only a little) 4 NYX lipsticks and 3 NYX Cream Blushes.

Lipsticks:
  • 614 Darling
  • 550 Indian Pink
  • 628 Tea Rose
  • 639 Eucalyptus
Cream Blushes:
  • CB 09 Orange
  • CB 01 Rose Petal
  • CB 10 Golden

  • Darling, a nudish color with A LOT of shimmer. I bought those from online so I didnt think it'd be this shimmery. It is also not so pigmented. I paired it with a light brown/nude lipliner and liked it a lot more than on its own.

  • Indian Pink. Every blogger was RAVING about this lipstick so I had to see what it was all about. I absolutely LOVE it! Its an almost coral color, but has some pink in it and also has a nice light golden shine.

  • Eucalyptus. I bought this one because most of my lipsticks are light colors and nudes. So I got this for when I'm in a mood for some "pop of color". I dont like it enough to wear it sometimes. But it isnt one of my favorites. I think the reason I dont like it is because it has a blue shine to it, as you can see from the swatch, which is not my thing! Not so noticable to others, but it is to me which doesnt make me so comfortable wearing it.

  • Tea Rose. This is just .... LOVE! It was one of the first lipsticks I purchased almost 4 yrs ago?! "Yes, I used glosses allll the time" and I fell in love with it. It has no shimmer, and is well pigmented. This one is my favorite, and I grab it almost daily!

For the cream blushes, I swatches a heavy sweep. Then next to the heavy sweep there is a light sweep that is blended. And under both there is an almost heavy sweep that is blended. Just to show you that it is quite buildable. The texture differes from blush to blush.

  • Orange. Its quite creamy, almost runny, but as soon as you put it on your cheeks it blends very nicely.
  • Rose Petal. It has a creamy texture that reminds me of almost softened butter. The color is AMAZING! I love this CB so much, it gives you quite natural pink cheeks almost like you've been slightly pinched.
  • Golden. This blush is my favorite out of all! I'd use it daily but I prefer PB's sometimes. It is the best nudish CB so far.

And we're done!
Sorry if I didnt do a good job explaining/talking about the products. This is the best I could do for now lol.
Thank you for viewing. I hope you enjoyed this, and it helped you in deciding :)

Dry Skin, & products that work with it!

Hi. So I've been thinking for a while now of what my first official post should be about, and since I think most of my posts are going to be about beauty and beauty products I thought I'd start with the basics :)
I've always had dry skin. My whole body is fine, but my face?? It's really dry and I hate that about it. So of course I have to hunt down products that keep my face moist and soft. I've tried so many products and most of them didnt work. But I think I've found the ones that suit my dry skin, so if you've got dry skin I really hope this helps you.

1. Sebamed Anti-Dry Night Intensive Cream: I use this cream almost every night. The texture is quite thick which I dont like, but its amazing! I always wake up the next morning with smooth soft skin. And I've noticed that through out the day my skin would stay soft and "dry-batch" free. I reallllly recommend getting this cream if you have dry skin.

2. Johnson & Johnson 3 In 1 Facial Wipes Dry/Sensitive Skin: I use those wipes to remove my makeup, specially around my eyes because it keeps the area oily/smooth not dry.

3. Himalaya Herbals Intensive Moisturizing Cream: This one is not a favorite but I use it because it works. I use it every morning, and 8 minutes before applying any makeup. The reason its not a favorite is because it has a smell "I think its supposed to be almonds?" and it also melts off your face! it keeps your face moist but it also melts off -_-

4. MAC Fix +: I LOVE THIS!!! Its amazing, it refreshens the skin and its gentle! I read that it contains green tea, chamomile, and cucumber. Its supposed to be a "make up finish" which is what I use it for, but I also use it 'round the day to keep my face fresh, sometimes when I'm out too.

Those are the products that help my skin for now, If I find anything that works better I will surely post.
Thanks for reading, and stay posted for more posts under different caregories.

PS I'd love to read some comments from you, and if you've got a beauty, fashion, or baking blog then leave a link and expect a visit from me :)

Hello World!

Really, Hello World! =D
Welcome to Caramel Scoops, about the name; I chose it from a name of a fabric on etsy =P

I'd like to keep my identity secret for now so I'm going to go by the alias Caramel =)
I'm a housewife, and mother to one adorable boy. I like blogs and they inspired me to make my own blog. I'm going to share almost anything that comes to mind  (books I read "rarely", beauty products I buy, and my baking recipes) so we'll see how that goes.

love,
Caramel
